Argentina Football League Drawn into Iran-Israel Conflict + Video
According to webangah News Agency, supporters of second-division club atlético al Boiz staged the exhibition before their game against Atlanta, a team historically linked to Argentina’s Jewish population. Protesters burned a coffin draped with an Israeli flag while others raised Iranian and Palestinian banners.
The gathering featured some attendees wearing hazmat suits, carrying the smoking coffin marked with Israel’s flag. Additional footage showed groups waving Iran and Palestine flags together, with the protest occurring amid heightened tensions following what organizers called “the 12-day imposed war by the Zionist regime and America against Iran.”
Chants of “Free palestine” echoed through sections of Al Boiz supporters. Argentina’s National Security Minister Patricia Bullrich warned she would intervene personally if Buenos Aires municipal authorities failed to address the incident.
