Egypt’s Stern Warning to the U.S. and Turkey
Egypt’s Foreign minister warns Turkey and the U.S. with remarks on the Red Sea.
According to webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister badr Abdelatty emphasized that his contry rejects the permanent military presence of non-littoral states in the Red Sea region.
He added that this issue is a “red line” for Cairo, and the message has been conveyed to all regional actors, including Turkey.
Abdelatty stressed that oversight of the Red Sea falls exclusively to coastal nations bordering it.
The statement follows a New York times report detailing increased U.S. military activity near a newly established base close to the Red Sea, linked to regional tensions including Zionist regime aggressions against Iran.
