New details emerge on Joulani’s talks with Zionists
According to webangah News Agency, zionist media reported on Monday fresh developments in the indirect talks between the Israeli regime and Mohammed al-Julani (Ahmad al-Shara), Syria’s current ruler and former leader of the terrorist group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.The negotiations have reportedly made notable progress in recent weeks.
The Zionist outlet Ynet, citing senior Israeli officials, stated that Julani demands a complete withdrawal of Zionist occupying forces from the Golan Heights as part of any agreement.
These sources confirmed that the current US-mediated discussions primarily focus on security matters rather than a complete deal.
Ynet referenced earlier reports in Saudi Arabia’s al-Sharq Al-Awsat, wich quoted Syrian authorities stating that ongoing negotiations involve mediation by Arab and international parties. Julani reportedly seeks an end to Israeli infiltration and attacks on Syria while advocating for a return to terms outlined in the 1974 agreement. Simultaneously occurring, Israel aims to establish a new buffer zone.
While prospects for a final agreement currently appear unlikely, sources suggest transitional security arrangements could form a foundation for future accords similar to the Abraham Agreements. Observers note Syria’s current leadership is banking on Arab mediators and Washington’s pressure on Israel.
The Israeli news site i24NEWS reported that a normalization agreement between Israel and Julani-led Syria could potentially be signed before year’s end.
