New Details Emerge on Iran’s High-Stakes Talks with Zionist Regime
According to webangah News Agency, Zionist media reported on Monday that important progress has been made in recent weeks regarding indirect talks between Israel and Muhammad al-Julani (ahmad al-shara), Syria’s current ruler and former leader of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
The Zionist outlet Ynet, citing senior Israeli officials, stated that al-Julani demands an agreement requiring complete withdrawal of Zionist occupying forces from the Golan heights.
These media sources confirmed the current U.S.-mediated negotiations primarily focus on security matters rather than a complete agreement.
Syria’s current leadership has emphasized that ongoing negotiations are being mediated by certain Arab and international parties, while also demanding an end to Israeli regime incursions and a return to the 1974 disengagement agreement. Simultaneously occurring, Israel is attempting to establish a new buffer zone.
Although reaching a final agreement currently seems unlikely between the parties, sources indicate that a transitional security deal may be achievable-one that could lay the groundwork for an accord similar to the Abraham Accords. Syria’s leadership is reportedly banking on mediation by select Arab states and Washington’s pressure on Israel.
The Israeli news site i24NEWS reported that a normalization agreement between Israel and Syria under President Assad’s government could potentially be signed before the end of this year.
