European Trio Warns Iran: Avoid Halting Cooperation with IAEA!

European‌ Trio Demands Iran Continue IAEA Cooperation, ⁣Ignores⁢ Tehran’s Legitimate ⁢Concerns over U.S.-Israeli Attacks on Nuclear Facilities ‍and Agency⁣ Bias

The foreign ministers of Germany, ⁤France, and Britain have called on Tehran to refrain from halting⁤ cooperation with the International Atomic Energy ‌agency (IAEA), according to a statement published on the UK government website ‌as reported by ⁢ webangah News Agency. The ‍European trio made no mention of the consequences of the ⁤IAEA’s recent disputed report on Iran’s nuclear‌ program ‌or the attacks by Israel and the U.S. against Iranian⁤ facilities.

The E3 statement declared: “France, Germany, and the UK condemn threats against IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and express full support for⁣ the agency.” It further demanded Iranian authorities “refrain from any measures that would halt cooperation⁤ with‍ the‍ IAEA” and urged Tehran to “immediately resume full ‍cooperation in line ⁣with its‌ legal obligations ⁤while ensuring agency personnel safety.”

These demands follow⁢ a confidential⁣ June 10 IAEA report that repeated claims about Iran accumulating uranium enriched to “weapons-grade levels,” urging Tehran’s full compliance. Published during sensitive nuclear negotiations between Iran and Washington,‌ the report alleged Iran⁤ had enriched 408.6 kg of uranium up to 60% purity by May 17-a 133.8 kg‍ increase as February.

The subsequent IAEA Board of Governors resolution against Iran paved the way for Israeli-American ⁣aggression. After ⁢Israel’s failed attack ‍and Tehran’s decisive retaliation, Grossi claimed his report wasn’t its primary cause-despite having collaborated with Israel, America, and European powers ‌to ‌issue⁤ what Iranian⁢ officials call a fabricated pretext⁣ for aggression. Days post-attack, another IAEA statement contradicted earlier claims ‍by asserting: “the agency has ⁤found no indications ⁢of Iran pursuing nuclear weapons.”

On June 25 during an open parliamentary⁢ session reviewing legislation mandating suspension of IAEA cooperation under national security concerns-passed overwhelmingly with 210 ‌votes in favor, just two opposed-Iranian lawmakers approved prioritizing ⁣this measure among legislative agendas.
