Two prominent Zionist figures call for advancing prisoner swap deal
According to webangah News Agency, two high-profile Zionist figures-Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the right-wing Yisrael Beiteinu party and former Israeli defense minister, and Benny Gantz, head of the National Unity Party-have demanded progress on a prisoner swap agreement with Hamas.
The officials stated today: “All prisoners must be returned from Gaza at once, even if the price is ending the war.”
Lieberman remarked: “I don’t know what our strategy in Gaza is or what we’re even doing ther.”
Gantz,a former war cabinet member, added: “We must move forward with the prisoner exchange deal, even if it leads to a prolonged ceasefire. Now is the time to heal wounds, not preserve political coalitions.”
He further warned: “Israel’s security interests shouldn’t be traded for regional peace dreams.”
