Trump and Musk Clash Again!
According to webangah News Agency, former US President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk have reignited their social media feud following a short-lived ceasefire.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of X (formerly Twitter) who previously served in Trump’s cabinet as “Secretary of Government Efficiency,” has emerged as the most prominent critic of Trump’s proposed tax bill – which the former president calls his “big, stunning bill.”
The South African-born billionaire has repeatedly labeled the legislation a “disaster that will trigger recession,” estimating it would add $6 trillion to national debt.
Musk shared an image bearing the word “LIAR” while commenting: “Those who campaigned on cutting costs but now support history’s largest debt ceiling increase will see their faces on this poster during next year’s primaries!”
Trump responded on his Truth Social platform: “Elon knew long before endorsing me that I strongly oppose EV mandates. this ridiculous law forces EVs when they should remain optional. He’s likely taken more subsidies than anyone in history – without them, he’d be bankrupt back in South Africa. No rockets, satellites or EVs! Maybe we should have DOE investigate? Big savings!!!”
The clash resumed June 5 after Musk left his government position, marking their most heated exchange since Musk departed the administration.
The X owner claimed Trump couldn’t win November 2024 without his support, criticized tariff plans and spending cuts, predicted a 2025 economic recession, and alleged delayed Epstein files conceal Trump’s involvement: “His name appears in sealed documents – that’s why they’re hidden.”
Trump countered that Musk had neglected duties as Secretary before going “fully insane,” threatening to cancel SpaceX contracts and all related subsidies.
Musk later expressed regret via X: “I went too far in some recent posts about President trump.”
