PKK Members Surrender Their Weapons
According to webangah News Agency,elements linked to the defunct Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) will begin surrendering their weapons this month during an event in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.
Two informed sources confirmed the ceremony will take place in early July in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the disbanded party, is also expected to issue a statement regarding its dissolution process in the coming days, after which weapon handovers will commence.
The sources stated that PKK forces will gather between July 3-10 in Sulaymaniyah Province, Iraq, to surrender arms as part of formal disarmament procedures.
