According to webangah ⁢News Agency, Palestinian star ​Wessam Abou Ali of Egypt’s Al-Ahly⁣ SC and scorer for the ⁢Palestinian national team has pledged his entire financial reward from participating in the⁣ 2025 Club World Cup to humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza.

The striker, ​who shone during the​ tournament in America with a hat-trick against portugal’s FC Porto, donated 25‌ million ‌Egyptian​ pounds (approximately $500,000) to aid organizations operating in‍ Gaza – a territory enduring over ‌21 months of war, blockade, and⁤ famine.

Al-Ahly⁢ Club confirmed on Monday evening that ⁢it intends to retain the Palestinian player ​despite receiving transfer offers from European and Gulf clubs.
