Netanyahu: Meeting Trump at White House Next Week
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today that he will travel to Washington next week to meet with the U.S.President and other senior American officials, according to webangah News Agency.
Netanyahu stated that prior to reaching agreements on trade and other matters, he would consult with Donald Trump on multiple pending issues.
The israeli leader also made unsubstantiated claims about needing to capitalize on what he described as an “imaginary victory” in the war against Iran,asserting his meeting with Trump would help consolidate this alleged achievement.
These statements come as Axios reported, citing an Israeli official, that U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to host Netanyahu at the White House next monday.
The Times of Israel separately reported, quoting a U.S.official, that the Gaza conflict and Iran-related matters will top the agenda during Netanyahu’s Washington visit and his meeting with Trump.
