Mortar Attack by Resistance Targets Israeli Troop Gathering in Gaza
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, reported that their fighters conducted a joint operation with the Qassam Brigades, shelling an area where Israeli soldiers and vehicles where gathered east of Khuza’a in northern Khan Younis. webangah News Agency reported.
Yesterday, the Al-Quds Brigades stated that their fighters ambushed Israeli infantry forces in eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza, killing and wounding several soldiers.
The group detailed that its militants detonated a booby-trapped house where Israeli troops had taken shelter in eastern Khan younis. The structure had been pre-rigged with anti-personnel and anti-fortification explosives before being triggered when soldiers entered the trap set by Al-Quds units.
According to their statement, Islamic Jihad fighters instantly attacked rescue teams with machine guns and RPGs upon arrival. The intense counterattack forced the Israeli army to evacuate surviving personnel using helicopters under heavy smoke cover.
