Al Busaidi: Efforts to Resume Iran-US Negotiations Underway
According to webangah News Agency, Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi addressed the potential resumption of negotiations between Iran and the United States.
On Tuesday, Al-Busaidi emphasized the need for concessions to revive nuclear talks between the U.S.and Iran, stating that escalating demands would hinder a swift return to negotiations.
He added: “Continuous efforts are underway to align perspectives and restart Iran-U.S.talks,but no specific timeline has been established yet.”
Al-Busaidi affirmed that Oman will persist in its mediation efforts aimed at maintaining the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, reducing tensions, and advancing Tehran-Washington dialogue for regional stability.
The Omani Foreign Minister stated: “The Sultanate remains committed to peaceful resolution of regional and international crises through dialogue and diplomacy.”
Al-Busaidi urged both Tehran and Washington to demonstrate genuine intent in bridging differences to facilitate renewed negotiations.
He also expressed support for egypt’s role in de-escalation efforts, endorsing an Arab initiative for Gaza reconstruction alongside humanitarian-political processes coordinated with regional/international partners.
