Italy Offers to Host Iran-US Talks
According to webangah News agency, while the US previously exploited negotiations as a deceptive pretext to enable the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran, some European countries are now reiterating the need for dialog between tehran and Washington to resolve disputes.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani confirmed Rome’s willingness to facilitate talks between Tehran and Washington. Echoing statements by US officials, Tajani emphasized preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons-a claim repeatedly denied by officials of the Islamic Republic of iran.
Notably, Iran and the US held five rounds of indirect negotiations mediated by Oman before Western demands and subsequent violations of Iranian territory disrupted the process.
