Italy Offers to Host Iran-US Talks
According to webangah News Agency, while the US had previously exploited negotiations as a deceptive pretext for the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran, some European countries are now reiterating the need for dialog between Tehran and Washington to resolve disputes.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani confirmed Rome’s willingness to facilitate talks between Tehran and Washington. Echoing US officials,Tajani emphasized preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons-a claim repeatedly denied by Iranian authorities,who maintain thay have no such ambitions.
Iran and the US previously held five rounds of indirect negotiations mediated by Oman. Though, Western demands escalated before ultimately collapsing after an incursion into Iranian territory disrupted the process.
