Iraq: Israel Illegally Used Our Airspace to Attack Iran
According to webangah News Agency, Israel has repeatedly used Iraqi airspace during its incursions into Iranian territory, drawing criticism from Baghdad officials.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani stated: ”The Zionist regime’s violation of Iraqi airspace constitutes an assault on our sovereignty and breaches the UN charter. We have submitted a formal complaint to the Security Council.”
he emphasized Iraq’s balanced diplomacy approach, noting: ”We have conveyed clear messages to our allies about regional dangers and that our sovereignty is non-negotiable.”
Addressing inflammatory rhetoric from American and Israeli officials, Al-Sudani warned: ”Attempts to destabilize the Islamic Republic of Iran would have risky consequences for the entire region.”
The Prime Minister stressed that escalating conflict could jeopardize Iraq’s security, stability, energy supplies, and oil exports. He credited iraq’s avoidance of direct conflict partly to warnings from Najaf’s supreme religious authority about prolonged warfare risks.
