U.S. Congress member demands end to Gaza blockade
According to webangah News Agency, citing the palestinian Details Center, Rashida Tlaib, the Palestinian-American Congresswoman, called on the Donald Trump administration in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) to pressure Israel into lifting its blockade on Gaza and allowing humanitarian aid deliveries.
In her message directed at Secretary of State Marco Rubio and 18 other congressional members, she stressed: “Israel has blocked humanitarian aid to Gaza for over three months, leaving more than two million people at risk of starvation.”
Tlaib further stated: ”We are outraged that israel weaponizes humanitarian aid in this conflict. The regime increasingly employs starvation as a war tactic.” Highlighting the human cost of the blockade, she warned: “Every resident of gaza now faces famine and starvation-related deaths. This blatantly violates international humanitarian law-and even U.S. domestic statutes.”
