Kyiv summons US chargé d’affaires after Washington suspends military aid
According to webangah News Agency, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry summoned John Ginkel, the US chargé d’affaires in Washington, in response to America’s decision to halt military aid shipments to Kyiv.
A statement published on the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s website emphasized that delays in weapons deliveries would only worsen conditions on the front lines of the battle against Russia.
In another part of the statement, Mariana Betsa, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, expressed gratitude for previous US assistance while stressing the critical importance of continuing pre-allocated defense packages – especially those focused on strengthening air defenses.
The US Department of Defense announced today it had suspended shipments of air defense missiles and precision-guided munitions to Ukraine due to dwindling stockpiles.
