Trump’s Latest Stance on Tax Cut Plan
According to the webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump stated in his latest remarks that if the proposed cost and tax reduction plan is approved, America will experience unprecedented economic growth.
He added: “We have recently reached and signed a trade agreement with Vietnam.”
Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett told CNBC last Friday that a series of agreements would be finalized before July 9.
Policymakers have not yet named the countries included in this group, but bassett emphasized Washington has focused on reaching deals with approximately 18 key partners.
Wendy Cutler, Vice President of the Asia Policy Institute, told AFP that Vietnam, India and Taiwan remain promising candidates for agreements.
Without these deals, Vietnam’s “reciprocal” tariffs would rise from 10% to 46%, India’s to 26%, and Taiwan’s to 32%.
