Trump’s Latest Stance on Tax Cut Proposal
In his latest statement, U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that America would experience unprecedented economic growth if his proposed cost and tax reduction plan is approved,according to a report by webangah News Agency.
“We have recently reached and signed a trade agreement with Vietnam,” he added.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett stated last Friday on CNBC that a series of agreements would be finalized before July 9. While policymakers have not yet named all participating countries, Bassett emphasized Washington’s focus on securing deals with approximately 18 key partners.
Wendy Cutler, Vice President of the Asia Policy Institute, told AFP that Vietnam, India, and Taiwan remain promising candidates for agreements. Without these deals, Vietnam’s reciprocal tariffs would rise from 10% to 46%, India’s to 26%, and Taiwan’s to 32%.
