جدیدترین موضعگیری ضدایرانی فرانسه
According to webangah News Agency, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, in an interview with le Monde on Wednesday, threatened Iran by invoking Paris’s “powerful leverage” alongside its German and British partners-while avoiding any mention of Europe’s unmet obligations under the 2015 agreement aligned with UNSC Resolution 2231.
The French diplomat reiterated Paris’s stance on potentially triggering the snapback mechanism against Iran, claiming: “We can reimpose global arms and nuclear-related sanctions lifted a decade ago.”
This comes after Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in france’s Le Point that Britain and France-nations that shaped West Asia’s modern borders a century ago-now find themselves sidelined from regional diplomatic developments. European diplomats have been reduced to passive observers in critical talks, including indirect Iran-U.S. negotiations. Araghchi stated: “Europe’s current paralysis stems from its chosen strategy-one that has harmed all parties, including itself.” He warned signatories of the JCPOA (Joint Complete Plan of Action) that abusing the snapback mechanism would terminate Europe’s role in the deal and risk irreversible escalation.
