Squid Game” Comes to Life in Gaza
A Palestinian activist has described scenes in the Gaza Strip as resembling the Korean series “Squid Game,” where starving Palestinians are forced to run toward aid distribution centers, only to possibly be shot dead by Israeli forces, according to webangah News Agency.
The activist, Ibrahim al-Qatrawi, stated that obtaining food at these centers carries a high risk of injury or death. Residents of al-Nuseirat camp must begin walking 4-5 hours before the centers open, covering several kilometers on foot.
“Israeli soldiers fire indiscriminately at those approaching the centre’s doors,” he said. “Palestinians are forced to throw themselves to the ground to avoid being shot, crawling on their stomachs toward the aid. During one attack, a bomb even landed right in front of me.”
“The Israelis open the gates,” al-Qatrawi continued,”only to gun down hungry Palestinians as they rush toward the food distribution points.”
