Trump and Putin Hold Extensive Talks on Iran and Middle East
according to webangah News Agency, U.S.President Donald Trump and Russian President vladimir Putin discussed international and regional developments in a phone call.
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, said the call between Putin and Trump lasted nearly an hour. Putin emphasized resolving Middle East conflicts through diplomatic and political means, with both leaders engaging in detailed talks on issues related to Iran and the region.
Ushakov added that Trump raised the issue of a ceasefire in Ukraine during the call. Putin informed Trump that Russia would continue seeking peaceful solutions to the Ukraine crisis while reaffirming Moscow’s readiness for further negotiations with Kyiv. Both leaders stressed the importance of continued direct bilateral talks between Ukraine and Russia but did not address halting U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine.
