Lavrov and Bin Farhan’s Latest Stance on Tehran-Tel Aviv Ceasefire
According to webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed hope that the ceasefire between Tehran and Tel Aviv would hold.
During a joint press conference with Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan in Moscow, Lavrov stated: ”We hope the ceasefire between Iran and Israel proves sustainable. We trust wisdom will prevail to avoid further escalation.”
The Russian minister welcomed improving relations between Iran and Arab Gulf states, particularly Saudi Arabia, adding: “Both Russia and Saudi arabia support the Iran-Israel ceasefire. We hope this marks an end to hostilities between them.”
Lavrov emphasized: “European nations must recognize their responsibilities regarding Iran’s relations with the IAEA. Every effort should be made to resume negotiations with Iran through diplomatic channels.”
He stressed Russia’s commitment to de-escalation and humanitarian aid for Gaza while supporting Israeli-Palestinian talks toward establishing a Palestinian state.
On Syria, Lavrov reaffirmed support for solutions preserving its territorial integrity. Regarding Ukraine, he insisted political resolution requires addressing root causes of the conflict.

the minister endorsed establishing a Palestinian state along 1967 borders as a strategic solution while praising Russia’s stance on Palestine. He rejected military options for resolving Iran’s nuclear issue, emphasizing diplomacy instead.
“Our immediate priority,” Prince Faisal concluded, “must be securing a permanent Gaza ceasefire ending civilian suffering – an essential step toward Palestinian statehood.”
