Boat explosion in Georgia, U.S. leaves 5 injured (+video)
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, American media reported that five people were injured Friday evening after a boat exploded on Lake Lanier in Georgia, USA.
CBS News reported that Hall County Fire Rescue stated the cause of the fire remains under investigation, and circumstances leading to the explosion are still unclear.
The department added that firefighters received reports of the explosion around 7:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, with five individuals sustaining injuries due to the blaze.
Authorities confirmed four victims were transported by ambulance, while a fifth was airlifted via helicopter to regional hospitals.All patients were in stable condition during transit, though their exact medical status remains unverified.
Lake Lanier, an artificial reservoir located roughly 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, is Georgia’s largest lake with nearly 700 miles of shoreline and one of the busiest recreational lakes in the southeastern United States.
