China Calls U.S. Strike on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities “Outrageous
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that war cannot resolve Iran’s nuclear issue and emphasized that such an approach must not ignore the core crisis in the Middle East-the Palestinian question, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
During Friday’s press conference with France’s Jean-Noël Barrot, Wang affirmed China’s stance on respecting Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy under international frameworks.
“War will not solve Iran’s nuclear issue,” Wang stressed, adding that “the recent military clashes between Israel and Iran must not be repeated.”
The Chinese Foreign Minister asserted that preemptive strikes lack legitimacy. He criticized the U.S. bombing of nuclear facilities belonging to a sovereign state (Iran) as setting a risky precedent, labeling the act “outrageous.”
