Israel Receives Hamas’ Positive Response to Gaza Ceasefire Proposal
According to webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Israel’s Channel 12 television reported from a source that israel has received Hamas’ response to the proposed Gaza ceasefire agreement thru mediators and is currently reviewing its details.
The Zionist media outlet quoted the source as stating that due to Hamas’ response, an Israeli delegation is expected to travel to Doha for negotiations on the agreement’s terms, initiating indirect talks between both parties. The same source claimed these negotiations might conclude within one and a half days.
Israel’s public broadcasting corporation also cited informed sources reporting that Hamas continues insisting on three key demands regarding amendments to Gaza ceasefire provisions: humanitarian aid delivery mechanisms, extension of any truce agreement, and complete withdrawal of Israeli military forces from Gaza during any ceasefire period.
The Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom, analyzing these Hamas demands, reported assessments within Israel indicating the main negotiation obstacle concerns plans for Israeli troop withdrawal from Gaza. While Hamas demands full military disengagement, Israel seeks retention of control over “Netzarim Corridor” and all areas south of it.
