Erdogan: Iran-Israel Ceasefire Paves Way for Gaza Truce

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan asserted that Israel’s repeated violations of ceasefire agreements​ have hindered lasting stability in the region but expressed hope for preventing further escalations this time. His remarks⁣ were made aboard the presidential plane on Saturday following his ⁢return from an official visit to Azerbaijan, were he⁢ attended the ⁣17th Economic Cooperation Association (ECO) summit in Khankendi.

Erdoğan added, “The ceasefire between Iran and Israel has paved the way for a similar ​move in Gaza, and⁢ Hamas has consistently shown ​it’s willingness to cooperate.”
