World Food Programme: 500,000 in Gaza Face Severe Hunger
The United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) stated in a declaration that Gaza’s population is grappling with dangerously acute levels of starvation, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
The WFP emphasized that half a million Gazans endure extreme hunger, forcing civilians to undertake life-threatening measures just to secure basic food supplies like flour.
The agency confirmed its inability to meet Gaza’s humanitarian needs due to operational restrictions, with relief efforts becoming “virtually impossible” under current conditions.
Meanwhile, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees reported ongoing attacks targeting refugee tents and schools sheltering displaced families across Gaza.
United Nations data reveals Israeli military forces have killed at least 509 Palestinians near food distribution centers in the territory. Gaza’s Health Ministry reports 23 fatalities and 54 injuries from recent incidents at aid queues, bringing total casualties at these sites to 743 dead and 4,891 wounded since hostilities began.
