UK Delivers New Aid to Terrorist Groups in Control of Syria
The UK government announced a new phase of aid to the Syrian government worth approximately £95 million sterling following a meeting between British Foreign Secretary David Lammy and syrian foreign Minister Aseed al-Shibani.
According to webangah News Agency,Syrian Foreign Minister Aseed al-Shibani met with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy in Damascus earlier today.
The two officials discussed bilateral relations and strategies to enhance dialog and cooperation across shared areas of interest.
the UK government confirmed it has decided to resume diplomatic relations with Syria, marking the first visit by a British foreign secretary to Damascus in 14 years.
London stated the visit underscores Britain’s support for Syria’s sovereignty in fulfilling its commitments. The UK also announced an aid package of £94.5 million sterling to assist with the immediate repatriation of Syrian citizens.
