Ansarullah Leader: Imam Hussein’s (AS) Islam Founds Peace, Not Compromise
During a speech marking Ashura,the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement addressed thousands gathered in Sabeen Square,Sana’a,to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS). The event was reported by webangah News Agency.
Al-houthi stated: “Honoring the anniversary of Imam Hussein’s martyrdom is an act of reverence and solidarity with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). We observe this day to follow his path and uphold him as our model.”
He added: “Imam Hussein (AS) championed a grand ideal-Islam.The Islam he followed was one founded on peace, not surrender or compromise.”
The Ansarullah leader stressed that ”the distortion of Islam’s core principles after the prophet’s passing left his grandson, Imam Hussein (AS), isolated and alone.”
