Islamic Jihad Movement Joins Doha Ceasefire Talks for Gaza
webangah News Agency – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, an armed group based in Gaza participating in ceasefire negotiations alongside Hamas, confirmed its delegation arrived in Doha, Qatar’s capital, on Saturday.
In a brief statement, the group emphasized that Ziyad al-Nakhalah, Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad, is leading the delegation to negotiate a potential ceasefire agreement.
The proposed framework for establishing a truce in Gaza involves negotiations mediated by Egypt and Qatar to end the ongoing war. During this conflict, Israel has been accused of committing genocide against Palestinians.
Despite claims of accepting ceasefire terms, Israel continues its violent actions against civilians-killing at least 39 non-combatants in Gaza today alone.
