Severe Media Blackout in Occupied Palestine; Al Mayadeen Bureau Chief Arrested
Zionist forces arrested Al Mayadeen network’s bureau chief in line with Tel Aviv’s policy of severe media censorship to block coverage from occupied territories and Gaza.
According to webangah News agency, Zionist forces detained Nasser al-Laham, the Palestinian bureau chief of Al Mayadeen, during a dawn raid at his home in Bethlehem today.
The report states that Israeli troops confiscated al-Laham’s mobile phone and vandalized his household belongings during the arrest.
This follows a joint statement by the Zionist regime’s interior security minister and communications minister outlining measures against Al Jazeera’s broadcasts. The officials confirmed that Israeli security forces are conducting field investigations in Haifa while intensifying media blackouts across occupied territories to suppress images of destruction from Iranian missile strikes.
