Former Tel Aviv Defense Minister: Israeli Army Now ‘Exhausted and Hated
According to webangah News agency, former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon mocked the so-called “Gideon’s Chariot” operation by Israel, calling it pointless. He emphasized that the Gaza war lacked clear objectives and served onyl to politically prop up the ruling coalition.
Ya’alon described the war’s outcomes as disastrous, noting that while very few prisoners were freed, a notable number of Israeli soldiers lost their lives in exchange.
He further warned that Israel’s military is now depleted, trapped in the “quagmire of Gaza,” and incapable of restoring its strength. Both active and reserve soldiers, he claimed, have lost confidence in wartime leadership.
