US Aid to Ukraine Reaches $123 Billion in Total!
According to webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik, US assistance to Ukraine during its over three-year war with Russia reached $123.3 billion by April 2025.
The report, based on Sputnik’s calculations using open-source data and Germany’s Kiel Institute estimates, reveals the largest portion-$69.5 billion-was military aid. Financial support ranked second at $50.1 billion, followed by humanitarian assistance ($3.7 billion).
However, Washington halted all further aid to Ukraine from May to early July 2024. The US also paused weapons deliveries to Kyiv in February before resuming them later.
The Pentagon confirmed suspending military aid starting March 4 (Persian date: Esfand 23, 1402). A week later, US and Ukrainian delegations met in Riyadh on March 11.
Following the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office issued a joint statement announcing the US had urgently lifted restrictions on intelligence sharing and resumed military support.
Despite this, weapons shipments were delayed until early July due to what analysts termed ”US arsenal inventory assessments.” White House spokesperson karine Jean-Pierre told NBC the pause aimed to prioritize American interests.
