UN World Food Programme: Gaza Families Survive on Just One Meal a Day
The World Food Programme (WFP) has reported that the majority of families in the Gaza strip can barely manage one meal per day, with the risk of widespread famine and hunger remaining severe in the region, according to webangah News Agency.
The UN-affiliated agency warned in a statement that food security in Gaza-and the entire food supply system-is on the verge of total collapse. one family in Gaza stated: “The unbearable heat and lack of food have caused family members to faint.”
The WFP emphasized that many people are risking their lives just to obtain a single kilogram of flour. As March 2, Israel has closed all entry points into gaza for food, medical supplies, humanitarian aid, and fuel-a move that has drastically worsened living conditions in the besieged territory.
