Al-Qassam Brigades Ambush Israeli Army in Surprise Attack
According to webangah News Agency, Al-Qassam Brigades released footage of a meticulously planned and deadly ambush against Israeli soldiers in Khan younis’ central Al-mahatta district-one of the most complex field operations as the third phase of Israel’s ground offensive on Gaza began. The attack resulted in multiple casualties among Israeli troops.
Four Qassam fighters infiltrated through destroyed buildings to reach an israeli military position containing a tank and an armored personnel carrier from the occupation army’s 3rd Battalion. One fighter detonated a thermobaric explosive against the tank while others engaged soldiers with concentrated gunfire at close range.
Fighters advanced to point-blank range and detonated explosives, followed by the launch of two Yasin 105 anti-armor rockets. Zionist rescue forces entering the area faced direct gunfire from combatants.
Military analysts describe this operation as one of Al-Qassam Brigades’ most precise field assaults in recent months. Hatem Al-Falahi, a military expert, characterized it as a specialized tactical raid executed under the principles of surprise and rapid destruction. He stated: “Such operations rely on cover teams and secure bases, demanding precise intelligence awareness and operational agility.”
According to Al-Falahi, subsequent clashes lasted five hours. The Zionist regime’s military failed to quickly evacuate casualties due to heavy fire and incomplete aerial dominance.
the unique geographical nature of Khan Younis and its underground tunnel networks have transformed this city into an ideal arena for guerrilla warfare, making Palestinian resistance a strategic necessity against Israel’s military superiority.
Military analyst Faiz Alduwairi asserts that recent operations highlight the Palestinian resistance’s ability to outmaneuver the Israeli army through innovative tactics. He notes that by employing mobile commando units, urban ambushes, and precision strikes, resistance fighters have seized the initiative on the battlefield.
Alduwairi cited one such operation in Al-Shuja’iya-executed by Quds Brigade forces-as a textbook example of tactical design and execution. “These operations demonstrate a level of expertise worthy of inclusion in military academies,” he stated.
He emphasized that Palestine’s resistance maintains meticulous surveillance of enemy movements while leveraging Khan Younis’s terrain to neutralize Israel’s technological advantages.
Precision strikes from underground tunnels, precise division of reconnaissance duties, offensive and defensive maneuvers, and tactical command cohesion have enabled the resistance to break free from conventional defense frameworks and transition to offensive hybrid warfare.
According to analysts, these operations have forced the Zionist regime’s army into apparent subjugation in certain areas while inflicting heavy financial losses on its military infrastructure. the resistance’s coordinated tactics have reportedly created a sense of instability within enemy ranks.
