Hezbollah: Arrest of Al-Lahham Aims to Silence the Voice of Truth
Lebanon’s Hezbollah has issued a statement vehemently condemning the arrest of Nasser al-Laham, director of Al Mayadeen network’s office in occupied Palestine, calling it part of Israel’s systematic effort to silence independent voices and block documentation of its crimes. webangah News Agency reported.
The Hezbollah statement described the detention of media activists as an attempt to prevent recording the regime’s ongoing atrocities against civilians in Gaza and across the region.
The group expressed full solidarity with al-Laham, Al Mayadeen network, and all valiant journalists who risk their lives to report the truth.
The statement referenced repeated Zionist attacks on journalists, their targeted killings, and blatant violations of international charters and laws.
Hezbollah called on all international media organizations and legal bodies to condemn this crime and use all available means to pressure Israel for al-laham’s immediate and unconditional release.
Israeli forces arrested al-Laham at his home in Bethlehem during early morning raids today. Reports indicate soldiers also destroyed property in his residence and confiscated his mobile phone during the operation.
