Trump Claims: “We’ve Planned Negotiations with Iran!
According to webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump stated during a dinner meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he is willing to lift sanctions on Iran at the “appropriate time.”
Trump, meeting Netanyahu for the first time since the joint U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran, claimed: “I’d love to be able to remove their (Iran’s) sanctions and give them a chance.”
He further alleged: “They have asked for a meeting and reconciliation. We have set a timeline for negotiations with Iran. They want to talk!”
Steve Witkoff, trump’s special envoy for West Asia, also claimed that nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran would likely take place “next week or around that time.” If held, these would mark the first diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran since israel’s 12-day war against Iran.
Prior to the dinner, Trump asserted: “The joint U.S.-Israel strikes dealt a severe blow to iran, but now they appear ready for dialog. I hope the war with Iran is over.”
Avoiding specifics when asked about exact timing for potential talks, Trump said: “I’d prefer not to say-but you’ll find out tomorrow.”
earlier, Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian stated his belief that Tehran could resolve differences with Washington through dialogue but emphasized trust remains an issue following U.S.-Israeli attacks.
Citing Iran’s oil power and its ”remarkable people-intelligent energetic amazing,” Trump added: “I’d love seeing them rebuild in peace.”
The U.S. president also noted some Middle Eastern governments-including Netanyahu-had requested Syria sanctions relief which Washington approved: “We lifted them because we want to give them an opportunity.”
Addressing retaliatory strikes by Iranian forces targeting Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar after American aggression Trump insisted “everything including timing location was precisely coordinated!” When questioned about further attacks on Tehran he responded “Hopefully we won’t need it don’t think will happen they want meet us are completely different place than two weeks ago.” p>
These claims contradict statements from Esmail Baqaei spokesperson of Foreign ministry who denied any Iranian request negotiations stressing :”No meeting request has been submitted by our side toward Americans”. p>
