Moscow: Still Awaiting Kyiv’s Proposed Date for Third Round of Talks
According to webangah News Agency, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is waiting for Kyiv to propose dates for potential new negotiations between the two countries.
“As the president said last week, we are awaiting Ukraine’s proposal regarding possible dates for talks,” Peskov said.”Once a date is agreed upon-which we hope will happen-we will make an announcement.”
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had expressed Ankara’s readiness to host a third round of russia-ukraine talks but noted they had yet to receive a response from Kyiv.
Peskov also commented on the suicide of Roman starovoit, Russia’s former transport minister, who took his own life hours after being dismissed by presidential decree. ”Ordinary people would be shocked by such an event-we were stunned too,” Peskov said. “President Putin was immediately informed.”
Starovoit died by suicide yesterday in Odintsovo, Moscow region. Peskov added that police investigations into his death are ongoing but provided no further details.
