6 Freed Palestinian Prisoners Martyred in Gaza
Six freed Palestinian prisoners were martyred following an Israeli airstrike on the “Sanabel Camp” in Al-Mawasi,Khan Younis, southern Gaza, according to webangah News Agency citing Palestine’s Information Center.
The victims include Amjad Abu Arqoub, Bilal Zaraa, and Mahmoud Abu Sariya-freed under the “Wafa al-Ahrar” agreement and later exiled to Gaza-along with Naji Abiyat (exiled from bethlehem’s church of the Nativity), Mahmoud Ibrahim al-Dahbour (a freed prisoner from Nablus), and Riyad Asaliya.
Abdul Hakim Hanini, a leader of Hamas’ Islamic Resistance Movement, condemned what he called Israel’s “systematic targeting of freed prisoners,” stating: “The latest crime-the assassination of five exiled freed prisoners in Gaza-reveals the Zionist enemy’s deep hatred and ongoing policy of revenge. They murder those who spent years in dark prison cells for resisting occupation.”
Hanini honored the martyrs-Abiyat, Zaraa, Abu Sariya, Abu Arqoub, Asaliya, and Dahbour-vowing: “This fearful assassination will never weaken our people’s resolve or deter our prisoners and freed heroes from pursuing liberation.”
The senior Hamas official asserted that this attack joins Israel’s “long record of unpunished crimes” against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. “Martyrs’ blood fuels our resistance,” he said. ”The occupation’s brutality won’t divert us until its complete collapse.“
