Iraq’s National Security Advisor in Erbil
Following last night’s clashes in Erbil, Iraqi National Security Advisor was dispatched to the region on the orders of Mohammad Shia Al Sudani.
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Iraqi WAA news agency, Qasim Al Araji, Iraq’s National Security Advisor, arrived in Erbil under the directive of the Prime Minister.
The media office of Qasim Al Araji issued a statement confirming that he traveled to Erbil after being assigned by Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al Sudani to investigate the matter.
the statement added that this visit aims to hold a series of political and security meetings with leaders in the kurdistan Region.
Last night,an armed conflict erupted between members of the Herki tribe and Kurdistan Regional security forces in Khawabat district within Erbil province,resulting in several casualties and injuries.
