Al-Julani Threatens Beirut
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al-Nashra, some Syrian sources have reported that al-Joulani has issued threats against Beirut.
Exclusive sources told Syrian television that al-joulani has threatened to escalate diplomatic and economic tensions against Beirut due to the neglect of the case involving detained Syrians in Lebanon.
The sources added that assad Al-Shibani, Syria’s Foreign Minister, will visit Beirut in the coming days to address the detainees’ issue.
they further explained that Damascus is considering gradual escalation options against Lebanon, starting with blocking certain security and economic channels. Damascus is reviewing joint border security cooperation as well as closing borders and imposing restrictions on Lebanese trucks.
The sources emphasized concerns over a possible complete shutdown of land crossings in the near future.
