Israeli Regime Army Extends Service for Thousands of Soldiers
The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, reported that the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth announced the Israeli military’s decision to extend the mandatory service period for thousands of conscripts. This move comes amid the ongoing Gaza war and the army’s need to maintain operational capacity on multiple fronts.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, this extension applies to reconnaissance battalion forces attached to infantry brigades as well as units within the regime’s artillery corps.
Israeli military sources have stated that this decision aims to prevent operational gaps and ensure force stability in active combat zones.
This growth occurs while the Israeli army has faced severe challenges for months in maintaining reserve troop readiness alongside considerable psychological pressure on its soldiers.
