The‌ English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr ‌News‍ Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, reported that the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth‌ announced the Israeli military’s decision to extend the mandatory service period ​for thousands⁤ of conscripts. This move comes ⁣amid the ⁤ongoing Gaza war and the​ army’s need​ to maintain ​operational capacity on multiple fronts.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, this extension applies to reconnaissance battalion ⁣forces attached ‌to infantry brigades as well as units within the regime’s artillery corps.

Israeli military sources have stated that this decision aims to⁤ prevent operational ⁣gaps and ensure force stability in active combat zones.
