During North Korea Visit, Lavrov Warns the US and Its Allies
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned the United States and its allies about security threats against Russia and North Korea during his visit to Pyongyang.
Lavrov remarked that North Korean soldiers’ involvement in battles against Ukrainian forces in Kursk province clearly confirms that the new strategic agreement between the two countries forms a solid foundation for an unbreakable military brotherhood.
His statements came during a meeting with his North Korean counterpart,Choe son Hui,in Wonsan,eastern North Korea.
the meeting was part of the second round of strategic dialog between the foreign ministries of both countries, during which they signed a joint defense agreement.
Notably, after leaving Kuala Lumpur-where he attended the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ meeting-Lavrov arrived in Wonsan, home to missile and naval facilities.
Following his visit to North Korea, Lavrov is scheduled to travel to China to participate in the shanghai Cooperation Organization foreign ministers’ meeting.
