The New York Times: Thousands of American Flood Victims’ Aid Requests Go Unanswered
The New York Times revealed that thousands of calls from American flood victims in Texas went unanswered by the country’s emergency management agency.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, reported that American officials have been unable to respond to thousands of aid requests from flood victims in Texas due to staff shortages at the emergency management agency.
two days after the devastating floods in Texas, the agency failed to answer emergency calls as it had not renewed contracts for some of its employees. According to the report, nearly two-thirds of thes calls went unanswered.
The devastating floods in Texas have so far claimed over 120 lives. Additionally, a large number of residents from flooded areas remain missing.
