Sudanese Army Announces New Operation Against Rapid Support Forces

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,‌ citing Mehr⁣ News Agency and Russia today, a military source in ​el Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, reported a​ special ‌operation by the Sudanese army. ⁣During this operation, they recaptured two strategic positions and eliminated⁤ many⁣ Rapid Support⁢ Forces personnel.

The ⁢source stated that Sudanese⁤ army units-including the 6th Infantry Division,special ⁣forces,central reserves,16th Infantry Division,and other units-successfully ​carried​ out the operation at 3⁤ a.m. local time on Saturday.

The source ⁤added that ⁢this action followed yesterday’s attack by Rapid Support Forces ⁣on ​these positions and ⁢a tactical withdrawal by the army from the area.

El Fasher experienced‌ fragile calm early today as the​ army continued its morning‌ bombardment in southern ​areas ‌with support ⁣from reconnaissance‍ drones.

Meanwhile, Rapid Support forces’ ‍drones ​intensified ‍their⁢ flights over El Fasher.
