Le Monde: Ukrainians Are Leaving the U.S. Because of Trump
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, reports that a French newspaper, Le monde, revealed some Ukrainians who traveled to the United States at the start of the war are now returning to Europe because of Trump’s immigration policies.
The report states that uncertainty around the new U.S. immigration stance has left Ukrainian citizens unable to envision thier future there.Consequently, many have decided to return to Europe.
It also emphasizes that changes in Trump’s policies toward Ukraine have led to disappointment among these Ukrainians. Ukrainian women are notably concerned about being forced into military service if they return home.
On April 12, Ukraine’s Deputy Chief of Staff called for recruiting women into the country’s armed forces.
