Iraq Seeks to Strengthen Air Force Amid Regional Developments
According to the English section of webangah News agency, quoting al-Maalomah via Mehr News Agency, Yasser Iskandar, a member of Iraq’s Security and defense Committee, stated that Iraq aims to enhance its air force. Recent regional developments have highlighted the critical importance of this issue for Iraq.
He added that for the past three years, Iraq has been working to strengthen both its air force and air defense systems. The process of purchasing technical and radar equipment needs to be accelerated.
Iskandar pointed to violations of Iraqi airspace by the israeli regime during attacks on Iran as evidence of existing weaknesses in this area.
He emphasized that Iraq must be capable of protecting its airspace and preventing future breaches.
