Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministers Consult on Iran
RussiaS Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the foreign ministers of Russia and China discussed the Ukraine crisis, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and Iran’s nuclear issue.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Russian Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met today, Sunday, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement saying that during their talks on Ukraine, both ministers emphasized mutual support for each other’s core interests.
The statement further added that Lavrov and Wang Yi exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis, developments on the Korean Peninsula, and Iran’s nuclear issue.
