Nigerian media and international news agencies including France 24 and Agence France-Presse have reported the death of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, according to the English section of webangah News agency.
One of Buhari’s aides confirmed that he passed away at the age of 82.
Garba Shehu, who served as Buhari’s spokesperson during his presidency, announced on social media that the former president’s family declared his death this afternoon at a clinic in London.
